Classic Rides & Rods Sales Information

Our sales department represents the vehicle to the potential buyer based on the disclosure form filled out by the consignee at the time of consignment.  We can fax or email the form to potential buyers. The disclosure form describes the vehicle in detail while disclosing any questionable items for the buyer to see and evaluate.

Our sales manager prepares a 20 point visual condition checklist form on every vehicles that is for sale. 

Our vehicles are professionally photographerd from every angle for your viewing analysis.  We will photograph any portion of the vehicle per your request and email them to you.

Classic Rides and Rods Inc. will assist you in securing a shipper for your needs.  You will pay the shipper directly or included in your payment for the vehicle in advance.

We are well aware of all the scams and con-games on the internet and assure you we will not be taken by these scoundrels.  We only take wire transfers as payment for your vehicle or service.

There is a 10% seller’s premium

Consignment information

Our inventory primarily consists of consigned vehicles.  We have three programs as to best fit your needs.

Program # 1

Upon arrival we fill out the 90 day consignment agreement (We will need a photocopy of your title) , the disclosure form, and  gather information on your vehicle.  The 90 day consignment agreement can be terminated at any time by you or Classic Rides & Rods.

You are required to pay $70.00 for the photography, and for advertising on the internet and collector car magazines. We advertise in 24 different languages and accept 33 monetary currencies, Our ads are seen in 170 countries.

We professionally shoot multiple pictures of your vehicle, inside and out, interior and the engine compartment.  We advertise your vehicle on multiple web sites throughout the world, photographs are an important part of our service.

Your are also asked to pay for two month’s storage/maintenance fee ($100.00 per month) for a total of $270.00.  (The storage/maintenance fee is to keep your vehicle clean, tires aired up, battery charged and ready to show at a moment’s notice.)

Your vehicle is displayed in our climate controlled showroom which is open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

Your vehicle is locked at all times and only opened with one of our staff present.

Only a staff member will start your vehicle to demonstrate the vehicle.

If a buyer wants to drive your vehicle, we have them fill out the test driver form and take their insurance information, photocopy their driver’s license and have them sign the form.  Never is a vehicle to be test driven without a staff member accompanying the driver.

Our goal is to sell your vehicle as soon as possible!

The sales fee to the seller is 10% of the sale price.

Program  #2

Program #2 is similar to Program #1 except your vehicle is placed outside of the building on display.

The fee charged for program #2 is $70.00 for photography and advertising, just the same as program #1. The monthly outside storage fee is $50.00 per month. 2 months storage down for a total of $170.00.

We still keep your car ready to show, the same as in program #1. You will also be required to sign a consignment form.

Only Classic Rides & Rods’ phone numbers are displayed on outside vehicles.

You must insure vehicle against loss or damage for this program.

Again we advertise in 24 different languages and accept 33 monetary currencies, Our ads are seen in 170 countries.

Program #3

Just as programs # 1 & 2 you will need to sign the consignment contract when you bring your vehicle in for the photo shoot.  You will take your vehicle home after the pictures are taken.

The charge for program #3 is $70.00.  It is your responsibility to have your vehicle clean and ready for pictures.  We advertise your vehicle the same as with programs # 1 & 2.

The sales fee to the seller is 10% of the sale price.

Again we advertise in 24 different languages and the price is converted to 33 monetary currencies, Our ads are seen in 170 countries.

Also with this program you may continue to market and/or sell your vehicle yourself.

If you sell your vehicle through your own efforts during the consignment period you must notify Classic Rides & Rods Inc. of the sale in order for us to take your vehicle off the market.

If you sell your vehicle to a buyer that has been generated by Classic Rides & Rods Inc. in the 90 day period after the termination of the consignment agreement you are responsible for a 10% commission payable to Classic Rides & Rods Inc.
